Thesis Topic/Title:
Enhancing rural pharmacist workforce through real-time solutions: Pharmacy Apgar supporting recruitment and retention

Description

The project seeks to innovatively transform recruitment and retention of rural pharmacists where shortages and maldistribution exist. The project will leverage the Australian developed Pharmacist Community Apgar tool and consumer consultation to generate innovative real-time pharmacist recruitment and retention solutions. The expected outcomes will enhance a community’s capacity to identify its resources, capabilities, and gaps to establish bespoke pharmacist recruitment and retention strategies. The project will provide significant benefits beyond rural access, by creating savings that benefit consumers, health services, and health budgets, while the study outcomes have broader application across other rural industries.
