Thesis Topic/Title:
Trauma Informed Behaviour Support: Evaluation of the digital adaptation of a teacher education program.

Description

The Trauma Informed Behaviour Support (TIBS) program consists of essential elements of trauma-informed practice to guide educators to: (a) maximise the student's sense of safety, (b) assist students in reducing overwhelming emotion, (c) address the impact of trauma and subsequent changes in the child's behaviour, development and relationships. The TIBS program uses a three-tier approach to implementing TIC practices to support vulnerable students. The program is based on a trans-theoretical framework of practice that draws on developmental traumatology, social-learning, and systems theories. Information about the program can be found here: https://usq.pressbooks.pub/traumainformedpractice/

The research will investigate the impact of the online delivery of the TBS program, and its implementation in schools.
