Thesis Topic/Title:
Developing a Machine Learning Model to Reliably Predict Future Food Waste

Description

With rapid population growth and urbanisation, food waste generation rates also keep rising in Australia and all around the world. Dumping food waste in a landfill can cause significant environmental problems. This project will develop a machine learning model to predict the amount and composition of food waste at the region or industry level. This information will help to develop an evidence-based waste management strategy.
