Thesis Topic/Title
Creating a Uniform Phosphine Gas Distribution in Grain Silos During Fumigation

Description

Poor applications of fumigants can result in considerable loss and increase the resistance of grain pests. In this research, a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) will be developed to simulate the distribution of fumigants in grain storage silos. The model will then be used to evaluate different strategies of phosphine fumigation and aeration or ventilation management for the effective pest control in a grain storage ecosystem.
