Research projects relate related to improving learning and teaching outcomes using technology, including robots or mobile devices, that keep seriously ill and injured children connected to education. Topics could include: Pedagogical changes, disconnection and reconnection (both socially and academically), transition in/out of school, access to learning and learning communities, participation, disengagement/engagement, learning communities, perceived learning, planned engagement V’s actual engagement, learner identity, technological affordances, Technology acceptance and changes to acceptance given illness or severe life disruption (this may include families and their children) and impact on stakeholders.
