Thesis Topic/Title:
Designing Human Centred Solutions for Autonomous Vehicles to enable Human-to-AI Collaboration

Description

Designing Human Centred solutions for semi and fully autonomous vehicles (and other autonomous systems).
Topics may include (but are not limited to) e.g:
• philosophies of use,
• design learning,
• tactile/sensate interiors,
• design for use for disabled
• design for use for aged
• design for use for service
• design for use for public transport
• between car communications
• in-car communications
The relationship between Human and AI has potential for collaboration (not overtaking of roles). We can envisage efficient use of real skill sets in the future workforce where sometimes Humans do more skilled aspects of one job (e.g. driving on mountainous roads), then AI does another (the basic driving around the city blocks transporting people and goods). It is important to have an overview of the field and the thesis would investigate current implementations, pending implementations and potentials for societal change with future targeted implementations.
